This summer I’m going to be going to South Fork to visit a friend. We usually try to hang out in SF and Oakland, but this time is not going to be the same. Both of us prefer the South Bay, and this is going to be our first time in Oakland. The South Bay is not only a very different environment to the Bay Area, but also a lot more of a party town than we think it is.
South Fork is a place that is so small that it has its own police force. It is an hour and a half drive from the city, and a bit more from the state, but in the South Bay, if you’re not a resident of South Fork, you’re sort of like an outlaw. We’re going to hit up the barbershop, have a few beers, and then head over to a different bar for some pool, darts, and dancing.
Oakland, an hour-and-a-half trip away from the city, is a city with its own police force. Also, we don’t think that Oakland is just about drinking and swimming and dart throwing.
So basically, if youre living in South Bay, we think that an hour-and-a-half drive will be more than a little bit inconvenient.
I have two suggestions for our fellow residents of South Fork. If youre not from South Fork, please dont go to the barbershop, or you wont be able to go get a haircut later. And if youre from South Fork, please dont go to the pool, dart alley, or any other place in Oakland, youll never be able to go to a barber shop again.
The Oakland area has some of the cleanest and quietest summer weather in the country. It may be a little more expensive, but it’s also probably more affordable.
The same goes for the Oakland parks. While I dont know how beautiful the Oakland parks have been this summer, I can tell you that the summer in Oakland has often been one of the most beautiful and peaceful in the country.
As the name implies, sf is a self-help group which is primarily about mental health. In the sf community, people come together to talk about their personal problems, to share what they are learning about themselves, and to find support and motivation. In addition to having a good time, it is also a great way to get outside information about the outside world.
sf is one of the only groups where you can come and just hang out and chat. You don’t need to do anything. You don’t have to leave your home, you don’t have to join a group. It’s just nice to be surrounded by people that are going the same direction.
You may be wondering “what’s sf?” Well, it is a small group of people that are passionate about helping others. It is a place where we can come together and have a good time. It is an awesome place to be, or at least it was. Over the past few years, things have changed. We have become very aware of the media and the way that we are portrayed.
