When I have a baby, I have to feel responsible for myself and for my partner, so I have to think about the things that take me from my mother and father to my son. I don’t want to get up in front of the television every time I go out. I try to get myself in front of the camera, to talk about my life, to be polite, to let my mouth drop, to listen to my boss and to listen to my friends over the phone.
That sounds like a great plan, but in a few minutes you’re going to turn around and say, “I can’t do that right now,” and it will be over and I will have lost my chance to be polite.

This is a common problem for women. As men, we often find it hard to be as polite as we’d like. We want our mothers, our wives, our lovers, our wives and girlfriends, and we want to be treated like they do. In an effort to fix this, the studio has developed a new game, Mother in Law, which takes the exact same scenario (the protagonist trying to be as rude as possible) and makes it a bit more acceptable.
The premise is that your husband has just died. His wife wants his body wrapped in a shroud, and she wants you to watch her do it. She’s also been given a new boyfriend who she’s been dating for a while in order to get over her husband. There’s no way you can refuse.
The game’s difficulty isn’t high enough by any means, but it’s surprisingly not too hard if you’re willing to accept that there are a few ways to fuck up a marriage. It’s not exactly a game for the mature, but a game for anyone who enjoys being a jerk and having the ability to be a jerk.
