I know this may not be the kind of article that would appeal to general law students, but I thought it might be interesting to see what people who are new to the legal profession think about this topic.
A law firm cutoffs is just an interesting idea. A cut-off is a place where clients send their clients a letter that says, “I know how you feel,” if you can, but the client never actually asks anyone to say, “I know how you feel.” Instead they send the letter, asking the client to tell them if it’s okay to contact you.
That’s not exactly legal advice at all. But if you can find your way out of a cut-off, then you should be able to get your client out of it.
Law firms are not the only ones having cut-offs. They can also be found among the internet-famous companies. There are many others who feel like they have a cut-off, but they may not have any idea what it means.
Most of us have cut-offs or have been cut off. Our careers, our family, our friends. We don’t know how to get out of them. But there are some that may be able to get out of them and that is called “resistance”. In order to get out of a cut-off, you have to resist. Resist the urge to leave and make the cut-off your own.
Cut-offs can be like the time you know are coming, but you don’t know when they are. We know we’re getting cut-offs, but we dont know when they are. Some of these cut-offs are the result of not knowing when they are. For example, if you are going to have a medical emergency, you may not know when the cut-off is coming, but you are going to.
Your first attempt at a cut-off is to break it in, but we know that you will not always have to break it. What if you are going to get lost in the middle of a night, and you want to be home to a family? You will have to make the cut-off to get out of the cut-off, but you will be able to get out of it.
The problem is that law firms may only be able to make one cut-off at a time. This can be very frustrating. So what if you have a very important client who is also your boss and you need to be home by 9:30? You may not be able to make a cut-off, but you can just call his office and ask and they will either make one or make a second cut-off just for you.
This has been my experience. I know there are some exceptions, but it can be a very frustrating experience.
There’s no law firm that can’t be cut off. But be warned: If you call his office and he doesn’t make a second cut-off, you are going to have to come up with an alternate plan to make it work. This can be a frustrating thing.
