I was recently forced into a confession of sorts. A confession that involves a lot of self-awareness and self-examination. A confession that you are not the most intelligent person in the room. A confession that you haven’t done anything for quite some time. A confession that is usually accompanied by a little bit of nervous laughter.
It can be a challenge trying to figure out how to talk to someone to get them to admit to anything. It can be even harder with a complete stranger. But a confession that involves both the confessing party and the person they are talking to usually ends up looking like a big hit. It’s sort of like when you’re in a talk show and you’re in the middle of a sentence and you realize you’re going to have to ask a question.

You can’t say, “Hey, this person’s the same person I used to be, and this person is the same person I used to be.” That is impossible.
