Arlington is a small city. However, its the only city with a large population that is in my opinion still a good place to live. It has all the amenities that you would need to live and work in a big city. Even though it’s a small city, I’ve seen it a lot of people get a good job there.
The only downside of living in Arlington is its not very big. However, that may be a good thing if you just want to get out of the city and explore. Just remember to wear your best underwear when you go out.

This is due to the fact that the Panhandle was once a part of Virginia until the early 1800’s when it was split off into two new states.
If you’re lucky enough to live in the area and you have a car, you can drive down to Virginia Beach, where you can find a lot of cheap retail stores, restaurants, and bars. Here you will find a lot of the same things that you can find in the Virginia Panhandle, but at a much lower cost.
