It has been around for over 130 years; and for about 110 of those years, owner Paul Kuntz was a fisherman. Paul and his family had a number of boats on the St. Pete’s waters, and he was also a boat owner.
I love Paul. When I was trying to decide who to interview for this article, I realized that Paul has been written about in every other publication, but here in the magazine, every other mention of him was either a photo or a story about the restaurant.
If you love seafoods, St. Pete is the place to go. If you love history, there’s no better place to go. I think that the fact that the restaurant is named after Paul’s father is one of the reasons that makes it the perfect family restaurant. The restaurant is located in the former home of Paul’s family, and the restaurant itself is a replica of the boat that Paul used to own.
