The bars in jersey city were an absolute delight to go to and not just because they were a popular nightspot.
We started our evening there as part of a trip to the city’s newest hot spot, Bar Paddy’s Irish Pub. Its a lot of fun when it’s just you and your friends and your barman and the people around you. But for this particular night, Bar Paddys was a little more like a private club. The atmosphere is a little more laid-back and casual, and the food is pretty good too.
I’ve been to most bars in New Jersey, but for this bar, I was really impressed. The decor is vintage, the lighting is soft, the barman is friendly and the music is classic hip-hop. The food is good too, served up with a bit of a retro twist. We ordered one of those “beer & pretzels” drinks, and it was surprisingly tasty. The barman even surprised us with an extra pretzel.
