Sinder Lounge is an open-air community building, which is great for people of all ages and all levels. A few things that add diversity are the fact that all ages and genders come together, and that is something I can’t really say for other open-air community building, because not everyone is in the mood to go to work every day.
The problem with open-air community buildings is that you don’t always know who’s in the mood for a build. If you’re building a new playground for kids, you could think, “Oh, they want to build their playground for kids. I wonder if they would be in the mood for a pool.” If you’re building a new place for adults, you might think, “They want to build their place for the adults.
The problem with open air community buildings is that it’s hard to know who is in the mood for a place to be built. There is a difference between a place you want to build and a place you want to build a new playground. The same thing can happen for place to build a new place for adults. You could think, Oh, they want to get a place for adults. I wonder if they would be in the mood for a pool.
But there are other reasons to get a pool. It provides the adult a place to cool off. It brings in the adult as a regular, familiar and fun member of the group. It can also add some activity to the pool, like a sandpit or a table.
What I love about Sinder Lounge is that it’s a place you want to build. All the activity that comes with building a pool adds a whole new dimension to the place. It’s not a place where adult men sit around and talk like two men talking about a pool, it’s a place where adult men are actually building something. It’s as if they’re building something for themselves. And that’s cool.
Its cool because, as one of our founding members, I have a lot of experience creating pool areas that feel like theyre all built for a purpose. The one I have in my home is a complete disaster, but Ive never been able to understand why.

That is, we spend so much money on the look of the house that we forget the function. The only way to fix this is for the function of the house to be fixed.
