You could also buy a rental condo because it was the only place you could afford. But as you’re saving money, you also want to avoid the high costs of renting a house. And as with rental condos, if you’re living in a rental condo, you also wont be able to pay your mortgage off in a year, so the home is in better shape and less likely to go into foreclosure.
