On November 13th, 2015, the Kentucky Law Journal published a piece on the “Kentucky Law Journal” by the esteemed and highly respected legal blogger, David Deen.
A number of other papers have been written about the law. One such paper is by David Van Houten, a retired law professor at the University of Kentucky and a former Kentucky Attorney General who has a PhD in Constitutional Law and law school. He is the author of a fascinating essay titled “Kentucky Law Journal: How Kentucky Lawyers Protect Law-Fraud.” Of course, David Deen has a lot of work to do on this essay, but this is the most recent example of it.
When I first heard of David Deen, it was because of his role in a much higher-profile case in Washington, DC where he was representing a woman who was in a divorce from an attorney who was accused of representing her husband’s mistress. The lawyer in question was convicted of fraudulently representing his mistress, which is a serious criminal offense in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
Even though she was convicted, her husband lost his legal license to practice in Kentucky because of it. The lawyer, however, received a suspended sentence of one month for the affair and now the only question is how many months.
kentuckys state attorney general has filed a complaint with the Kentucky Supreme Court, asking the court to declare the affair a “fraudulent representation” and to “require the attorney to pay restitution to his clients.” Apparently, the state attorney general is upset that the lawyer was caught and has not yet been convicted. The court will take up the issue at a later date.
It’s interesting to note that the current attorney general, Andy Beshear is a Democrat who is in favor of prosecuting the case, as his opponent is another Democrat, Mike Hancock.
This is a good example of the kind of law journal that should be published. I can’t say I always follow it, but I’m glad it exists.
I have been reading this law journal every day for the last year and I have learned that Beshear might be too lenient on a law firm. The attorney general has said that he will look at the case again, but in the meantime the state attorney general is going to the judge and asking for a much harsher sentence. I dont think he will, but it is a good example of how the law is evolving.
Another example is that the Justice Department is now asking for an investigation into the “law of the land” and is not only asking for the investigation into the “law of the land” but also that the DOJ is already doing it. This is pretty funny, obviously, but it also explains that the DOJ is also asking for more money for the case. In fact, it’s a big deal to the Justice Department, which is supposed to be doing a much larger investigation than the DOJ.
In the most recent edition of our guide, we’ve updated the title and a few other things. The first thing we know is that the title (which is basically the title of the new game) is not really a title but rather a description so that it’s hard to get confused between the title and the description. When you click the “Update” button next to the title you get a new, updated title, which is pretty cool.
