Although we live in the south, we have to deal with a lot of the same food issues that most of the rest of the world faces. As far as southern food goes, our favorite meal is our famous fried chicken. While we often think of fried chicken as being a southern staple, it is actually very popular in the country. One thing that makes it particularly popular in the country is that it actually has a name.
Well, I think when people think of fried chicken, they think of southern food. That may be true in that in the south, the fried chicken is often fried in a deep-fat fryer. But it’s also true that fried chicken is very popular in the north. And it’s true that that in the north, there is a fried chicken chain called Southern Chicken and Southern Fried. So, when people see fried chicken, they immediately think south.
The fact that fried chicken has become so popular in the south is a direct result of southern culture. Although, in the north, the chicken is often fried in a pan with a little oil. But when people here in the north think of fried chicken, they think of fried chicken with a bit of oil and then deep-fat frying. We live in the south so we really don’t have any good southern food that isn’t fried chicken. But we do have a few good southern foods, such as a good fried green tomato and some great southern potato salad, and a few great southern cornbreads (like they have in the south). We also have some good southern pizza (like we do in the north) and we have a surprisingly good southern burger.
If you’re a southern foodie, you might be used to hearing about fried chicken and fried green tomatoes, but that’s not the case here. The one we’re talking about is actually a classic fried chicken dish. It’s not fried, but is made with a can of chicken fat and then deep-fried. It’s usually served with the sweet-and-sour sauce, which is just as good as the real thing, but a bit more on the salty side.
We’re always glad to be a part of the barbecue game, but when it comes down to it, the best barbecue in the South is in Mississippi. We recently had the opportunity to visit the Jackson area and try out some of the best barbecue joints in all of the land. We found the best ones along the Mississippi River, in the little town of Holly Springs.
The restaurant that we visited was called The House of the Lost, and it’s a BBQ joint that’s been around for a long time, but it’s still one of the best in the area. It’s a great place to try out some of the famous hot dogs, and it’s also a great place to try out some of the best southern barbecue in the area.
