We have a choice to make every day. We can turn on the lights and find ourselves in a dark room without realizing it. We can choose to sit in silence and look at the clock. We can choose to eat lunch at home and watch the news in the car. We can choose to do absolutely nothing and allow the world to continue to be what it is.
The idea of doing nothing is one that many people think would be the most liberating thing they could do and is often the easiest way to avoid doing anything at all. But not all of us are able to say that. Instead, we find ourselves doing what we can to avoid doing something. For many people, this is a way of feeling good or even more important than the good that we do. For others, the avoidance of doing something is a way of feeling bad.
For a lot of people, the idea of ‘boredom’ is a way of feeling bad. We find ourselves constantly doing things that we’re not really motivated to do. However, we do it because that’s how we’ve learned to deal with our boredom. You might be in a situation where you’re bored, but you can’t really do anything about it.
Sure, we don’t like doing boredom, but its a lot easier to block it out and pretend that it doesn’t exist than to try and figure out a way to make it go away.
But thats where the problem starts. Because its so hard to block out boredom, we usually find a way to make it happen, whether it be a game, music, or whatever other habit weve created. We may not like doing the boredom, but when the boredom happens, we can go about our lives without much trouble.
But that’s just a side effect. One of the biggest problems with boredom is that it keeps us from the real world. Instead of being able to see how our lives are going, and the jobs we have, we have to be constantly distracted from these things, so we’re never really able to find the motivation to do the things we want to do. It’s as if we’ve found a way to block out boredom, but then we can’t see how the boredom is affecting us.
By blocking out boredom, we can actually see our own boredom, and the boredom of others. To live without boredom is to not exist. We can go around being perfectly content in our own little cocoons of boredom, but then we realize we can’t be as content. Instead, we have to be constantly looking out for our boredom and trying not to let it ruin our lives.
The main challenge we face in playing the games of life is trying to get bored. We are constantly trying to find a reason to do something, but boredom is a real thing. We should be trying to find a way to block it out when it happens, but we don’t. We try to make it as easy as possible, but then we realize we cant be. If we are going to be bored, we have to be actively trying to make sure it doesn’t happen.
The idea behind barred law is that we can’t just sit and wallow in boredom. We have to actively keep ourselves from being bored so that we can get bored. We have to make it as difficult as possible for ourselves not to be bored. But the problem is that most of us don’t even know what being bored means. We think boredom is just sitting in front of the TV or something, but we really mean something else.
As a general rule, a person who is bored isn’t actively trying to make it miserable for themselves. They just want something to happen which they think might make them more bored. Like the person who is sitting in front of a TV and thinks they are bored. In this case the person is probably trying to make their boredom worse. They are actively trying to make themselves more miserable. They are actively trying to be miserable.
