If a place is truly a destination, the people there will make you feel like you have just stepped out of a time machine. The Alhamdulillah Cafe in Chicago is such a place and it is so much more than that. The staff has the same attitude and character as the people sitting at tables in their booths that you would see in any of the restaurants you frequent.
Alhamdulillah is known for its high-end dining and it has all the hallmarks of such a restaurant. Everything is luxurious, from the lighting to the service to the food, it’s all so well-done and, as the name implies, the people making the food are all friends of the owner. This is also one of those places you could easily spend an entire day in.
The staff is of the type that you would find in any of these restaurants and they’re all friendly, polite, and just like any other place you would find anywhere.
Its hard to tell, because the food is so good that you could easily spend a long time in there, but the atmosphere is a definite blend of upscale, casual, and comfortable. All of the chairs are comfortable and of high quality and the decor is very tasteful and sophisticated. The tables are all of excellent quality like all of the other tables. The lighting is always on, so you can read a book or watch a movie and have the lights on all of the time.
The food is great, and you can get a drink or two, but the atmosphere is the real deal. Even though I was there for a short period of time, my experience was so good that I would go back on a whim. The food is so good that I would order it again and again if I could.

It’s a bit of a sad story, but a lot of people have their own stories of bad food (or lack thereof) and they just want to say so. The cafe in Almaty is a favorite of mine, and I’m not even joking.
